Gerhard Richter, exhibition at the Pompidou Centre
This summer, visitors can view a major retrospective at the Pompidou Centre dedicated to the major German artist, Gerhard Richter (1932, Dresden), still active on the international scene.
Over 130 paintings by the artist will be on show for three months in Galerie 1 featuring works from the 1960s to the present day. Some of these works are part of the history of painting such as Ema, Nude on a Staircase, 1964, Betty, 1988 or September, 2005.
Visitors can also discover lesser-known works by the artist. The exhibition at the Pompidou Centre in Paris is coproduced with the Tate Modern in London and the Berlin NeueNational gallery.
