Anne Barlow, curatorul desemnat al BUCHAREST BIENNALE 5 (25 Mai - 22 iulie, 2012) va sustine o conferinta de presa Marti 31 mai 2011, ora 11.00.

Conferinta de presa va avea loc la sediul Pavilion UniCredit, din soseaua Nicolae Titulescu nr. 1 (Piata Victoriei).

In cadrul conferintei curatorul va dezvalui conceptul BUCHAREST BIENNALE 5.

Bienala Internationala de Arta Contemporana Bucuresti este considerat cel mai important eveniment de artă contemporană din România si unul dintre cele mai interesante din Europa, conform presei internationale.

Anne Barlow este Executive Director al Art in General, New York. Intre 1999-2006, a fost Curator of Education and Media Programs la New Museum in New York, intre 1994-1999, curator of Contemporary Art and Design la Glasgow Museums, iar intre 1989-1994, Curator of the Scottish Arts Council Collection in Edinburgh, Scotia. Barlow a fost lector in cadrul unor institutii precum Royal College of Art, London; Centre for Contemporary Art, Warsaw; MUMOK, Vienna; New York University; si Tate Modern, London. A publicat texte pentru Liverpool University Press/Tate Gallery Liverpool; Henry Moore Institute, Leeds, Marea Britanie; Edith Russ House for Media Art, Oldenburg, Germany; New Museum, New York si Art in General.

Anne Barlow, the appointed curator of BUCHAREST BIENNALE 5, will hold a press conference on Tuesday, May 31, 11 am.

The press conference will take place at Pavilion UniCredit, sos. Nicolae Titulescu 1 (Piata Victoriei)

In the press conference the curator will reveal the concept of the BB5.

Anne Barlow is Executive Director of Art in General, New York. From 1999-2006, she was Curator of Education and Media programs at the New Museum, where she oversaw its educational and public programs, initiated and developed Museum as Hub, a network that connected the museum with art partners in Cairo, Eindhoven, Mexico City and Seoul, and curated numerous exhibitions and performances. From 1994-1999, she was Curator of Contemporary Art and Design at Glasgow Museums, where she managed its contemporary art and design collection, temporary exhibitions program, artist residencies, and new commissions. From 1989-1994, she was Curator of the Scottish Arts Council Collection in Edinburgh, Scotland, where she oversaw and developed a public collection of contemporary Scottish Art. Barlow has been a lecturer/ guest critic for organizations including the Royal College of Art, London; Centre for Contemporary Art, Warsaw; MUMOK, Vienna; New York University; and Tate Modern, London, and has published for organizations including Liverpool University Press/Tate Gallery Liverpool; the Henry Moore Institute, Leeds, United Kingdom; the Edith Russ House for Media Art, Oldenburg, Germany; the New Museum, New York; and Art in General.
